Vote Josie Barnhart for our Schools!
Every Child Deserves a Great Education
Thousands of students have left. Teacher turnover is high. Schools have gotten into the business of parenting instead of focusing on academics. As your board of education member, I will fight to make sure schools get back to business of academics.
Students are priority
Education is the foundation for our children’s successful future. Teachers are hardworking, oftentimes selfless individuals that have a common goal of building these foundations. While relying on teachers’ expertise we need to work on ways to ensure ALL students are getting a high-quality, unbiased, academically sound education regardless of their zip code.
fighting for Parents
As a former educator — and now parent — in the education system, I believe my background and perspective will be helpful in creating obtainable, creative solutions that are not only intended for a great outcome, but also seek how to implement and follow-through positively. Teachers and parents need to work together for the sake of our children to grow academically. Working towards transparency by giving access to curriculum and materials used will strengthen this partnership.
